On April 26, 2024, the Chairmen of the ESG Commission attended the ESG Adria Summit organized by IFC’s Integrated ESG in collaboration with Sustainable Banking and Finance Network (SBFN) and Sustineri Partners. The event was intended for Training of Trainers (ToT) from the banking associations in the region.
The Sustainable Banking and Finance Network (SBFN) welcomes the Macedonian Banking Association (MBA) as its newest member.

At the 42nd session, the Assembly of the Macedonian Banking Association passed a Decision on the election and appointment of the chairman and vice-chairman of the ESG Commission.
On September 22, 2023, a meeting of the newly established ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Commission was held at the Macedonian Banking Association.
On 22.3.2023 the first event оf women executives in the banking sector was held to discuss the biggest challenge for the new generation of female leaders – the green economy.
On February 9, 2023, an event was held on the topic “Maximizing Sustainable Finance Opportunities”, organized by the International Finance Corporation (World Bank Group) in cooperation with the Macedonian Banking Association.
On November 17th, 2022, a webinar was held on The role of the private and financial sectors in sustainable development, development financing and green transformation, jointly organised by the Regional Cooperation Council Secretariat (RCC), Chamber of Economy of Montenegro and Association of Montenegrin Banks.
