Mateja Taleska and Dino Danovic won the European Money quiz National Competition and are representing North Macedonia in the European Finals

Mateja Taleska is a member of the winning team that will represent our country in the European final of this year’s European Money Quiz.

She was born on 28.01.2007 in Skopje. She has won numerous awards in science and art competitions: first place in the state geography competition, two second-place awards in biology competitions and first place in the literary competition organized by the Ministry of Education on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Blaze Koneski’s birth – “Poezijata na Blazhe Koneski – nasha nenasushna inspiracija”.

Mateja has been writing for a long time and is the recipient of a scholarship for talented children given by the Ministry of Education and Science. She participated in a competition for an unpublished poetry book called “Antevo Pero”, in which her poem collection “The Dream of the Lion’s Hearts” was among five who had the opportunity to win the “Antev Chasovnik” Award for young writers. The poem collection has not yet been published. Mateja has also participated in the e-twinning projects “Let the Earth breathe” and “Etwinkling stars: Shining togetheter” in collaboration with Erasmus.

Dino Danovic is the other member of the winning team to represent our country in the European final of this year’s European Money Quiz. He is 14 years old and is a first-year student at Josip Broz-Tito High School – Skopje. He was born on May 20, 2007 in Zagreb, Croatia, where he spent his childhood, visiting Skopje every summer. He studied in Zagreb until the sixth grade, and from the seventh grade he continued his education in Macedonia, where he moved with his mother, who was born in Skopje.

Dino has been playing basketball since he was in the fourth grade and he says basketball is his passion. He wants to be a professional basketball player. He has a lot of knowledge about savings, banks and insurance, things he learned from his mother, who worked at an insurance company. He often attended various events organized by her company.
