ESG ADRIA SUMMIT HELD FOR TRAINING OF TRAINERS FROM BANKING ASSOCIATIONS IN THE REGION
On April 26, 2024, the Chairmen of the ESG Commission attended the ESG Adria Summit organized by IFC’s Integrated ESG in collaboration with Sustainable Banking and Finance Network (SBFN) and Sustineri Partners. The event was intended for Training of Trainers (ToT) from the banking associations in the region.
The key role of the event is to advance and promote ESG standards and sustainable finance in the banking industry and encourage collaboration between various stakeholders, industries, regulators, governments, chambers of commerce and real sector companies.
The Global Coordinator of SBFN, Rong Zhang, gave a presentation on the mission of SBFN as an invaluable platform for the exchange of knowledge between members, and on the other hand, she reviewed the expectations of the proactive engagement of various banking associations in fostering a sustainable banking ecosystem. Experiences of the Banking Association of South Africa were also shared at the event.
