The Мacedonian national representatives for the European Money Quiz Finals have been selected
The winners of the European Money Quiz national competition and our representatives in the European Finals are Mateja Taleska and Dino Danovic, students in “Josip Broz Tito” High School in Skopje, mentored by their teacher Emilija Velichkova. They managed to beat the other 439 teams in the national competition, 423 of whom competed in Macedonian and 16 in Albanian.
The runner-up team are Teona Mitrevska and Jani Jeranda, students in SEPUGS “Vasil Antevski Dren” – Skopje, under the mentorship of Biljana Ninovska, and the third-placed duo are Maria V’chkova and Stefanija Sarafimova, students in “Dobri Daskalov” – Kavadarci, mentored by Jasminka Rizova.
These are the results of the EMQ national competition held during the Global/European Money Week for the fourth time in Macedonia, in which 878 students participated under the mentorship of 94 teachers from 72 primary and secondary schools from across the country.
The European Money Quiz Finals will take place on May 10th. This year, apart from a monetary prize for the winning schools, the European Banking Federation will reward the five best teams with a two-day trip to Brussels, Belgium.The “European Money Quiz” is a project by the European Banking Federation for financial education of students from the ages of 13 to 15, which the Macedonian Banking Association organises in co-operation with the National Bank of North Macedonia and the Securities and Exchange Commission of North Macedonia.
