Mr. Freyr Hermannsson, Representative from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), attended the third session of the Working Group for the Advancement of Foreign Exchange Trading via the Spider FX Platform

On July 12, 2023, the third session of the Working Group for the Advancement of Foreign Exchange Trading through the Spider FX platform, formed by the Liquidity Commission, was held at the association’s premises.

The Working Group was led by Ms. Vesna Trajkovska, Coordinator for Liquidity and Financial Markets at Komercijalna Banka AD Skopje.

During the session, which was also attended by the IMF representative, Mr. Freyr Hermannsson, discussions were held on the operation of the interbank trading platform Spider FX, the spreads and quotations set by banks as active participants in the foreign exchange market, and ideas for improving the current functionalities of this platform.

The discussion was positively evaluated as the activities and goals of the Working Group to be implemented in the upcoming period were presented.
