European Banking Federation’s 53’rd Associate Meeting held in Istanbul

On 29th and 30th May 2022, the 53rd meeting of the associate members of the European Banking Federation (EBF) was held in Istanbul, Turkey.

The event attended by representatives from 12 countries was hosted by the Banks Association of Turkey.

The Macedonian Banking Association was represented by deputy president Toni Stojanovski and Executive Secretary Milena Perchinkova.

The meeting was opened by the Chairman of the Executive Committee, Christian Ossig’s speech, while Chief Executive Officer Wim Mijs informed the Associate Members about EBF’s current activities and the latest developments at European Union level.

During the meeting, presentations were made on topics such as sustainability, Basel III/IV, financial literacy, the impact of the war in Ukraine on the economy and good banking practices in the countries, and the evaluations of the participants were taken throughout the sittings.
