CORPORATE STRATEGY DURING MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONS IN PRACTICE, LECTURER DIMITAR FUNA, MA

Yesterday, May 15, 2024, a workshop on the topic: Corporate M&A strategy in practice was held in the organization of the Commission for Financial Restructuring of Corporate Debt.

Mr. Dimitar Funa spoke about mergers and acquisitions, related to clients with financial problems, their acquisition, review of risks – credit and non-credit during mergers and acquisitions of creditworthy companies.

Dimitar Funa is part of the Private Equity investment team at Downing LLP, London, UK, a £2 billion firm under management. In his previous experience as an M&A consultant for investment funds, Dimitar was involved in over 40 transactions, with a cumulative value of £4 billion. In 2022, he won the annual award of the National Bank for the best young researcher.

During the workshop, Funa exchanged opinions with the present members of the Commission for Financial Restructuring of Corporate Debt, the Risk Commission and the Legal Commission pointing out the importance of building an ecosystem of strategic advisors.

As a sign of gratitude for the continued cooperation with the Commission for Financial Restructuring of Corporate Debt at the Macedonian Banking Association, lecturer Dimitar Funa was awarded a certificate of appreciation.
