“MAXIMIZING SUSTAINABLE FINANCE OPPORTUNITIES” IN ORGANIZATION OF IFC & MBA
On February 9, 2023, an event was held on the topic “Maximizing Sustainable Finance Opportunities”, organized by the International Finance Corporation (World Bank Group) in cooperation with the Macedonian Banking Association.
IFC organized this working session attended by MBA members in order to encourage the development of sustainable finance. At the event, the key elements and challenges of sustainability were presented, which will strengthen the capacity of financial institutions for its development, in line with EU regulation and global guidelines.
The financial sector has a unique role in achieving the goals of adapting to climate change and reducing pollution. In order to achieve these goals, financial institutions should direct their activities towards reducing the consequences of climate change and complying with the sustainability criteria set by financial regulators.
