Foundation “TOGETHER FOR ONE” provides financial aid for children of victims from the fire in Kočani and will procure therapy equipment for the injured
In order to support the families and individuals affected by the tragic fire in Kočani on March 16, 2025, the “Together for One” Foundation, established by the Macedonian Banking Association, launched a series of activities to provide financial assistance and medical support to the victims and their families.
In the first phase of the support, the Foundation has already disbursed one-time financial aid to the children who lost a parent in the tragedy. The funds were transferred directly to the bank accounts of the children or their legal guardians.
In addition, the Foundation has provided funding for the procurement of gloves for passive rehabilitation, as well as devices for compressive cryo-therapy, which are a key component in the recovery process for some of the injured individuals.
The “Together for One” Foundation was established to provide essential and continuous support to those who need it most. A public call will be announced for injured individuals to apply for additional financial aid to cover costs related to medical treatments and rehabilitation.
“This is not a tragedy that will be easily overcome, which is why we have secured funds to be distributed in several segments and phases to support the recovery of the injured. We will help continuously and over the long term. Let us be Together for One – today, tomorrow, and until everyone has healed,” said PhD. Maja Stevkova-Shterieva, President of the Macedonian Banking Association.
The Foundation’s funds have been raised through donations from banks, savings houses, other financial institutions, as well as compassionate companies and individuals, and are intended for the people and families affected by the tragedy.
The Macedonian Banking Association and the “Together for One” Foundation remain committed to their mission – to be a support to the community and the country whenever it is most needed.
