Our representatives at the European Money Quiz<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>, students Darija Borizovska<\/strong> and Sara Milkovska<\/strong> from SEPUGS “Vasil Antevski-Dren”<\/strong> from Skopje, under the mentorship of their teacher Biljana Ninovska<\/strong>, participated in the final of this prestigious international financial literacy competition for young people. The final took place on 19 May 2026<\/strong> in Brussels, Belgium, and was organized by the European Banking Federation. The event followed a two-day programme featuring a variety of activities designed to encourage interaction, networking, and collaboration among the participating teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The team from Greece claimed first place, followed by Latvia in second, while Italy secured third place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the first time this year, the final event also included a dedicated competition for teachers and mentors, who competed simultaneously while the students took part in the final quiz. We are especially proud that Biljana Ninovska<\/strong> won second place<\/strong> in the mentors’ competition, achieving an outstanding result and demonstrating an exceptional level of knowledge and commitment.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Launched by the European Banking Federation in 2017, the initiative aims to strengthen financial literacy among young people and contribute to the development of a financially responsible generation. This year’s competition brought together participants from 30 countries: Albania, Austria, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, Poland, Portugal, the Republic of North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, T\u00fcrkiye, and Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Macedonian Banking Association<\/strong>, in cooperation with the National Bank of the Republic of North Macedonia and the Securities and Exchange Commission of the Republic of North Macedonia, will continue to actively support and promote financial education as a key pillar for building a successful and independent future for young people.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
