{"id":26214,"date":"2026-02-27T16:43:00","date_gmt":"2026-02-27T15:43:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mba.mk\/w\/?p=26214"},"modified":"2026-04-07T12:46:20","modified_gmt":"2026-04-07T10:46:20","slug":"preparatory-meeting-held-for-the-european-money-quiz-2026-national-competition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mba.mk\/w\/en\/events\/preparatory-meeting-held-for-the-european-money-quiz-2026-national-competition\/","title":{"rendered":"Preparatory Meeting Held for the European Money Quiz 2026 National Competition"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On 27 February 2026, a preparatory meeting was held ahead of the national competition \u201cEuropean Money Quiz 2026,\u201d organized by the Macedonian Banking Association, in cooperation with the National Bank of the Republic of North Macedonia and the Securities and Exchange Commission of the Republic of North Macedonia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>The meeting was attended by representatives of the organizing institutions, as well as mentors and student teams from registered primary and secondary schools across the country. Participants were thoroughly introduced to the rules and format of the competition and were provided with guidelines and educational materials to support effective and high-quality preparation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The organizers expressed particular satisfaction with this year\u2019s record level of interest in participation, which is a clear indicator of the growing awareness of the importance of financial literacy among young people. The \u201cEuropean Money Quiz\u201d is not merely a competition, but a platform through which students deepen their knowledge of financial concepts, responsible personal financial management, and the functioning of the financial system\u2014skills that are essential for their future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year, the national competition is being organized for the eighth time, with a total of 1,276 registered students\u20141,144 in Macedonian and 132 in Albanian\u2014under the mentorship of 127 teachers from 109 primary and secondary schools across the country. These figures confirm that financial education is becoming an increasingly important segment of the educational process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The national competition will be held within the Global Money Week, in the period from 16 to 22 March 2026.
